Switch Terminology:
Pole: how many independent circuits are controlled (DPST means that there’s a
Throw: The number of contact points
These are usually abbreviated: example: Single pole, single throw, is abbreviated as SPST.
In the tutorial, we used an “ON-ON”, SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw) switch. These are super neat because they can turn two separate things on (you could switch operation between a blender and a vacuum if you wanted)
When the numbers go above two they start using numbers, for example 3P4T.
