Impossible

I got this idea from Thomas Frank, who got the idea from Joel Runyon, who created the world’s first impossible list, which is “more than just a bucket list”. The impossible list is a continually-evolving list of experiences that build upon each other, help others as well as yourself, and encourage you to take action.

Think about what your true life goals are, and constantly evaluate your progress towards them. In other words, be mindful of your path.

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”

– Robert Heinlein
