How to Configure a Potentiometer using FSUIPC and MobiFlight

I made this video on how to connect a potentiometer to MSFS (ONLY)

I had no idea you could connect it directly to X-Plane using the @ placeholder and some fancy formulas!

I’ve built a 3D printed prototype yoke and have at last been able to get it working with X-Plane. I had some help from Pizman82, the moderator of the MobiFlight forum, so I thought it might be useful to do a write-up of the process for others who, like me, had never tackled anything like this before.
