Wheels are your friends! Move things around

Small drawers:

  • CNC Stand: Drawers under, CNC mill, Laptop above, 1.5′ x 1.5′
  • Saves space
  • Smarter not harder
  • Google “Kaizen Foam” or 1″ thick foam (maybe lowes/HomeDepot/Hardware store) $30

Stack things! Amazon video “Air is expensive” Amazing system! (couldn’t find exact video)

  • Great for electronics

Buy less tools and smaller tools

  • Only buy WHAT YOU NEED, WHEN YOU NEED IT.
  • Hypocrite 🙂

YOU CAN ALWAYS GO OUTSIDE!!

  • if you have a driveway or backyard you can use, try to use it!
  • Any shops you have access to

You can still build simulators, you just need to be more thoughtful.

Use other people’s tools!

  • High school CNC, School 3D printer
  • Borrow them! (BUT GIVE THEM BACK)
  • Woodworking friends
    • Dad’s friend welded something instead of welding shop and/or buy $600 of welding

Folding furniture

  • Miter station
  • Folding workbench
  • Folding sawhorses
  • Flip out, flip down, slide out, slide up, flip over
  • Woodworking for Mere Mortals, he also have a course

Creative solutions! Creativity is key

Pegboard, to free up shelves, but not always the best solution

Be very intentional

Areas:

Tips quoted from The Woodworking whisperer

Think about workflow

Wood near entrance
Miter saw near lumber
Assembly table centrally
Clamps near the assy table
Table saw central
